Buildings

Precisely Buildings provides detailed footprints enriched with characteristics to provide property insights for insurers, telecoms, and location-based analytics. Identifying the risk to a home, or qualifying a structure for service, requires an accurate depiction of a building in relation to other real-world features.

With this dataset, you’ll gain a detailed view that includes:

  • A unique identifier applied to every feature
  • Property essentials: FIPS, census block, and address details
  • Building basics: type and usage
  • Building location: how it’s placed and centered on its lot
  • Building elevation: lowest, highest, and centroid

Attributes within the Buildings product enable interoperability and enrichment of other features. For example, relationships can be made to the parcel boundary and property characteristics or complex address relationships within a building or across multiple buildings on a given property.  Precisely now makes the connection to these relationships even easier by leveraging our Property Graph solution.

Benefits

Insurance

  • Price more effectively for risk. With Buildings, you can validate the placement of insured structures within a parcel and understand their proximity to risks such as flood, wildfire, shorelines, fault lines, crime areas, and more. You can also better assess the relationship of cumulative risk factors.
  • Buildings are necessary to understanding if Insurers want to underwrite a given business. It’s important to understand co-tenant risk when more than one business resides within one building on a commercial property. For example, there is higher risk to insuring a bank whose location is next to a dry cleaners.

Telecommunications

  • Detailed building data can help provide location and structure information needed for infrastructure layout and installation planning, to ensure proper speed and bandwidth. It can also expedite emergency response and pinpoint the location of wireless 911 calls.
  • During installation planning, Telcos can enrich building locations with the necessary characteristics to select the appropriate asset infrastructure to support and ensure proper speed and bandwidth for that structure.

Marketing

  • Improve targeted marketing by utilizing buildings as geofences for mobile advertising. You can refine your marketing, presenting offers that more accurately pinpoint where a customer is in proximity to eateries, stores, and services.
